EPY NEWS

Hi dear friends and partners of “Ecole Privée Youchaou” EPY.

In the field of our extra school activities, we received a “griot” Mr. Tounkara, on Wednesday December 6th 2017. A griot is a traditional history teller, a mediator too. He knows a lot of things about origins of ethnic groups. Through traditional music they teach traditional customs, culture and give pieces of advice to people. Griots are very important in traditional African societies.

Through Mr. Tounkara’s story, students from EPY learnt that nastiness is not good. They must be kind and helpful toward each other.

They appreciated the story well and the “Ngoni” the music instrument Mr. Tounkara played.
